Thanks for your videos. They make old tech still usable. Unfortunatelly smart link is not syncing traffic data to my Nuvi 3597. It syncs weather, app get's traffic updates, etc.. Latest firmware, maps, etc etc. Any hint?

Clock does not work anymore on my TomTom Go Classic and TomTom Go 700. Clock stays now on 0:00. It was working but is something changed ? NavCore is 9.510

I had probably this on my second flight of a new drone, the drone just dropped from the sky while i was descending to land as if it was shot down, but the battery was still inside the drone when it crashed. It was a lithium battery, and a much cheaper drone. but still, How is this possible on the second flight already? Did i maybe overcharge the battery? It was the L200 pro max

I am having the opposite problem. I have a nuvi 2495 LMT. When I hook it up to my Windows 11 PC, I get the sync screen for a few seconds then it goes into loading maps and goes to the start screen. I have tried multiple cables (Garmin and my camera cable which I know transfers data), and different ports on my PC. Nothing works. Express will not detect it. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Great video! Eager to try on my One V4. Always amazed how this device from like 2007 can still be patched, run current maps, etc but was down due to this clock issue. Edit: seemed to work fine even if it has navcore 9.541 and 32mb ram!

Something I always like to add to these dashcam videos is that once you have one, make sure you periodically check it to make sure it's still functioning correctly, pull the SD card and review the video, check its quality, make sure it's still running as of the date you last checked, etc. I got into a fender bender that was totally not my fault and my dash cam would have completely absolved me of any wrong doing, but when I pulled the card, surprise, surprise it had stopped recording months earlier. It was fooling me because it still booted up, it just wasn't recording anymore.

Good information, however can you configure the Canon HF-G60 or G70 to use a fixed zoom speed (Slow, Medium, Fast) with the zoom rocker button on top of the camera, instead of variable speed, which is annoyingly hard to control ? Other less expensive Canon Camcorders have this setting. Thank you, Liked and subscribed.

Sir your videos are very helpful I have a problem with my HME EOS speakbox outside. It seems like it only turns on when my customers speak loudly into it and then it shuts off between words gets choppy and shuts off audio when I respond through the headset. It's also quite static-filled. Any tips? I tried resetting it to the system standard setting setting in then box but that didnt fix. Thank you

I have just got a Garmin 396 for my motorcycle and it has the cradle etc but i have just plugged the unit into a powerbank using a normal usb cable and it works perfect it doesn't try going to PC mode it just works as it should in the top right hand corner it shows a symbol of lightning so i guess its actually charging it off my powerbank? this was a £1.30 standard usb cable. any ideas why it should work? the only think i want is one with a L shape plug to plug into the Garmin's mounting cradle.

nice video. I have a question, maybe you have a solution. I have a Zumo XT2 and want to connect it via usb cable to a Android tablet ( Samsung A8) an send gpx files from the tablet to the gps. In the MTP settings you can't select mass storage, just usb tethering and usb tethering single action. Once connected you see the gps in the MTP host but from the moment you want to move/copy a gpx file to the gps internal memory /sd card , it bloks.

Hello friend, Just posted the following in a GPS Forums, but no answer. I'm sure that you the solution for my problem. Here it goes as I postad: I"'ve got a DriveSmart 51 (Sweden/Europe), is acted stras yet.nge from the beginning, just turning off in the middle of the route and restarted as if I chose it to get to factory mode. After emptying the whole unit througn Windows and reinstall everything via Garmin Express, it's acting more strange now... 1. when I'm trying to voice command, the unit wants me to "learn it" following like, "one, two, three, turn, screen brightness" and so on. But even if I program it to recognize my voice, there¨s a LOT of meny options missing, such as like "Find address", "Find ciry" and so on. Earlier I got a whole bunch of meny choices, was able to scroll througn all of the options. Now there's not even "search address" in the meny... And the unit is resisting that I¨m going to speak to it to "teach" it to recognize my voice. In the earlier version is was an "in-built" "robot" that turned on when I called for the GPS, saying: "What do you want to do", then I could say for example: "Search address, find a city" etc. But now the unit wants me to teach ut "one, two, three, turn, exit, brightness" and so on, but still there¨s missing a lot of menu options. Is there anyboyd in here knowing which files there are for default (unit) voice commands - and how to reset the unit to show every possible menu option again, as it was in factrory mode? I did copy all my files before I dd a reset of the unit, so maybe the correct files are somewhere in my Google Drive... Sorry if my English isn't that good, I'm living in Sweden and all my menues are in Swedish. PS. I did format/empty the unit, then copied the "old files" into the unit again, no success. Also: everytime I connect go Garmin Express, it wants me to update one (1) update. Cyclops Europe, about 3.85 MB... Dit it over and over again... I also used every trick I found on RUclips to reset the unit fo factory mode. Still doesn't got all the menues I got before. And this about the voice commands - how can the unit all of the sudden demand to recognize my voice when there was an in-built "dude" listening to me before - and how do I get "him" back? Does anyone hade any idea? Downgrade firmware, anything? Help!" Do you know wha's wrong, buddy? Or/and how t solve this? Best Regards from Sweden

I used tap water during 24 years on the sponge of my Weller. Never had any oxydation. Still using the same tip. And as far as I remember my chemistry classes, CaCO3 is not an oxydant. The only problem with tap water is that white cristallisation you have after a few weeks under the sponge. So you have to clean the stand from time to time.

Came across this for my Garmin 200W but unfortunately the ribbon cable is different & that's what I wanted help with. The 200w has 3 ribbons & the smallest one for power to the screen is a nightmare to get back in - there must be a technique to it but don't know what it is!
